Comment: We have been hunting big sphenes and titanites for the last 12 months. This is the biggest we found (in our quality range that is). With 8.33 carat is not as clean as we may wish but except one singular colored inclusion there are only silky veils in the stones which actually add to the wild luster and multitude of colors. The cut is good enough, flawless but not innovative or perfect. Sphenes are very difficult to cut and in bigger sizes one can not be too demanding. As the images show the basic color in an aggressive green-yellow, the classic African sphene color. If you are in the market with a limited budget but want a big and fascinating natural gemstone, this is a great opportunity to make a head-turning pendant.
