Comment: Fine "balas" spinel in hard-to-get shape and excellent clarity. With just 1.29 ct easily looking bigger than 2 ct. Not flashy but dense and concentrated in the color. Just the right size for a ladies ring and definitely a worthy alternative to pink sapphire. In fact, spinels from Badakshan were until only recently thought to be corundum.
