Comment: We used to find these star garnets regularly ten years ago but lately they have been sparse. WARNING: Rare case of a star showing better on image than in person. The star is hard to see and perhaps it is better to regard it as a red cabochon gem with a star as add-on. The color is classic deep Bordeaux red. Big! Will make a tasteful but unpretentious ring stone. Bargain sale.
