Comment: This is, surprise, color change spinel. Traumatic for the camera man. Ranging from sky blue to purple (day) and deep violet (tungsten) this gem is always good for a new color. No visible inclusions, good lively luster and great fun. Be sure nobody will ever have heard of color change spinel and the most educated guess will be cc sapphire. Rarity even for the collector. Fine gem for a low-key-but-bigger-story ring.
