Comment: Here is our first entry from the Welo opals out of Africa. It was cut by our German master lapidary. Neon green chases flashes of orange and red through the yellow body when the gem moves. Green is the dominant fire in this opal, then comes orange and red. Very fascinating corner of the gemstone universe. It is said that learning about opal takes a live-time, while diamonds can be covered in an afternoon. It must be true.
