Comment: Sphene colored by titanium is called Titanite. We used to buy this colors in Afghanistan but here is a Madagascan specimen with clear non-chrome coloring. Precision cutting. Outstanding clarity for a Titanite of this size. Due to its off-the-charts reflective index, as all sphene, this giant sparkles in all rainbow colors but dominantly in orange red, ocher, Bordeaux, olive, raspberry and golden amber. to name just a few. Despite all that sparkle this gem is a suave and tranquil character. Remarkable beauty. Best set in a pendant.
