Comment: Earthly red-orange glow from one of the oldest gemstone varieties on human record. The hessonite-only 'fluid' crystal, its 'swirls' or 'liquidity', have assured its unique reputation since ancient times. In Egypt, hessonites adored Cleopatra next to emeralds and lapis, the Greeks considered the 'cinnamon gem' to be partly organic, a warm matter rather than cold stone, and medieval tales involve dragons and heroes, the latter pulling hessonites from the heads of the former to prove their deeds to the ladies. This gem was earth-mined in Sri Lanka, no dragons were slain. No window, one (1) crystalline inclusion (visible in our tell-all images but not always to the eye), no treatments, full five carats. The deep orange sways between cinnamon orange in low light and glowing red-orange in bright daylight. For mere $600/carat it comes to your doorstep, wherever you are, with its original lab report and grading papers.
