Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Well colored paraiba-type tourmaline from Mozambique. The inclusions are good for your budget, but hardly visible to the eye. Under the lens (and on our images) the gem shows a broad mix of bubbles, feathers and other inlays. Only one inclusion, however, stands out to the unaided eye, the rest produce additional inner glitter doing an, usually plain, emerald-cut more good than harm. The same is true for the edges of its facets which have suffered during transport. While they could be re-polished it doesn't seem necessary except for reasons of tidiness. The side- and backviews show the inner crystal better than the front image with its strong reflection. 8x5mm will fill rings up to large lady sizes, or gent's sizes if you have the style to add a halo or sidestones.
