Comment: This Labradorite is of the same gemological type as 34.45 but of a very different character, less iridescent and instead dominated by yellow-green stripes in leaf- and ivy-hues. Surprisingly, under closer inspection the stripes are translucent, the deep green even more so than the yellow. While its big brother displays a most fascinating Aurora Borealis, this gem has 'schiller' but not in a full color spectrum. 'Iridescent labradorite feldspar', the name's length says it all, are such rare, 'small' gem varieties that comparative grading is hardly possible. Luckily, here we have two specimens coming in at the same time, hence we can compare features, though their subjective value and beauty remains truly in the eye of the beholder. The full rainbow in 34.45 is extremely rare, but you might find the striped 6.45 just as charming; here you may judge freely, and perhaps refrain from poisonous judgements elsewhere, a daily practice for all those working to become better human beings.
