Overall Grade: Good+

Comment: The intense bright pink and its lively brilliancy, had me taking up this gem many times, and then returning it for the inclusions and surface flaws visible under the lens. However, after the tenth time, and since we call this trade 'colored gems' and not 'un-included gems', I had to make an exception to the rule. The pink is just too beautifull to be left behind. The scissor-type luster is too fascinating to allow your eye to focus on any inclusions and they are hardly visible to the eye anyways (lens needed). A tint of orange give the pink even more charme. So, if you want to pick up a terrifically colored untreated pink tourmaline with no window and flashy luster for a bargain, here you are. Note, that the bright tone, correctly in my book, calls this a tourmaline for IGI, not a rubellite. All-in-all, this is a great gem, not perfect, but who is and will throw the first stone?
