Comment: Quartz presents us with an amazing number of gem varieties from all over the world. This cabochon from Indonesia is called 'Honey agate', reminding, at least in name, of the Honey & Milk Cat's eyes from Sri Lanka. The agate being the brown-orange area, white the white band is pure quartz. Too big for a ring, Maori warriors and Sumo wrestlers aside, this 20 carat-gem can only be used for pendants or a bracelet, or join a collection of rare gemstones.
