Comment: Most black star sapphires are diffusion treated in Chantaburi, south Thailand. This 2.15 carat here, on the other hand, is the real deal: a natural six-legged silver star, emerging when rays of light are broken by thin needles crossing one-another at exactly 60 degrees, truly a miracle of nature, even if the sight has been so diluted by the millions of fake Linde- and other artificial stars all around. Note, the silver color of the rays in the star and their symmetry! Such regularity, such perfection looks like a marked exception to the rule of chaos and chance in nature, does it not? No loss of weight with a flat backside (see 'more images') but thankfully without a loss of color in the opaque body. See under more images also a double-star with two light sources producing two stars at the same time. 9x6mm will stand as a solitary ring stone. White gold or platinum will match well with the hue of the star's rays.
