Comment: Cut-to-match pair of untreated zircons in purple red. Only zircons combine highest durability with adamantine luster, which made them the victim of marketers naming a lab-grown diamond-substitute 'zirconia.' This here, however, are natural gems cut from rough zircon crystals as they are found in the rivers of Ceylon. Both are free of inclusions, untreated and without window. The red is removed from pink with a secondary purple. Flawless hand-cut, not calibrated but individually cut. Red and green are the two most sought-after colors, excelling all other gems in those colors with luster and, in case of emerald, durability. Both, of course, excel in color but cannot match their luster. Hence they are one of the best value-buys in natural gems while their prices  continue to be suppressed by the zirconia name-salad. Best used for a pair of studs with prongs and large clips to stabilize them horizontally.
