Comment: Classic Ceylon garnet, utterly flawless, precision cut and in a rich Bordeaux red. The exact color is best seen in the backside image. With 6x4mm, no window, no inclusions, untreated, a budget alternative to an iron rich ruby in MD75. Below is a close-up of such an iron rich ruby for comparison. Of course it cannot stand up to a blazing red ruby of top quality but it does compare well with rubies of less dramatic appearance, or similar medium dark red spinels. 6x4mm will fill a solitary e-ring up to size 6 (US) or with some extra dressings (diamonds, etched halo, unpolished bezel to name a few) up to a size 10. You will find many designs in our trust section. The funds you save compared to a ruby can go towards a sophisticated yours-only setting, a filigree or faux-tension design.
P.S. The unusual circumstances of this year, personal and in general, have so far hindered us from getting lab reports done, although I dare hope this will change by late May when I have the opportunity to visit Antwerp in person. The price here quoted is EXCLUDING our usual certificate. If you like to have a lab report for this garnet we need to add between $100 for a full IGI report. A $1,000 premium AIG report seems out of dimensions for a 'normal' almandine. But it too, would need a good deal extra time (currently over 12 weeks, sigh).
