Comment: Purplish red star ruby with a full and strong star. Deeply toned but never dark body hue. Somewhere between magenta and bordeaux red. See the second handshot with a sideview on gem: This is the ideal shape for a star, no lost weight in the back and a maximum face-up area, not too far domed, and the edges well pronounced so that both bezel or prongs can catch easily and securely. Solid quality from India, offering unheated ruby color and a good star in one. Full size with appr. 10x9mm suitable for ring or pendant (though in a pendant the star will only amuse other people). Rich color but not pushy. Suave character without flaws.
