Comment: Massive long oval cabochon emerald, destined for a signature piece of jewelry in any gent's ring-size even those of a professional weight-lifter. It reminded me of those Roman senator jewels in sand & sandals movies. The high dome gives the gem all extra visibility, as can be fully appreciated in the side-view, but this comes without extra weight to pay for, thanks to the utterly flat under-belly. More cannot be made from seven cab-carats! Strong tint of blue in a rich apple green (no yellow, no brown). Inclusions are eye-visible only from the underside. From above, the (sharp) eye perceives faint color-zones, perhaps a spot (my eyes don't get them, but younger ones might), and a crystalline tip and inner structure, like in the shots under in-direct-sunshine (one small sunlight roof window). Translucent body with balanced blue-green hue (the blue share is nice, especially for Zambian emerald) and no grey. Though the bottom is a perfectly oval shape, the ridge of the dome is ever so slightly off-center, giving the gem an even stronger natural look and one-only personality, even if it is hard to pinpoint where the effect comes from. Colorless-oil only, no nasty fillers, or colored plastic glues, (much less reconstituted beryl powder with green color, sold as 'eternity emeralds' - JIKES - 'eternity' there ends under hot water and soap). Quality, all-natural emerald with little compromises. Such gems can get very expensive, but this here is lasting value at affordable $300/ct, with equally lasting rainforest protection, and support of the IMHO best animal rights group, plus global transport, DSEF report and all other WildFish perks. Though heavy in a big gent's ring, I feel platinum would make a suitable companion for this emerald. Perhaps with an unpolished or hammered surface to connect to the 'raw' character of a translucent body? A once-in-a-lifetime indulgence lasting a lifetime (and more, for your heirs to honour your legacy). Skin-color color in handshot below steal the camera's attention.
