Comment: A good star on a good color is the holy grail in these gems. Here is such a rare combination. Images show color and star as in person. Stars are always a bit silky, the silk is needed to break light in this regular pattern. Note, on the backside image, the rough unpolished backside is normal and must be thus. No extra weight but flat cut off, optimizing the upper visible part of the cabochon. See an overview on judging stars here. There is a patch of color on the side but hardly visible from the top. See the additional images without star to get a full color impression, a flowery blue with a tint of purple, the classic sapphire color. Also there visible, in close-up and under lens only, the hexagonal natural growth lines. Up to size 6 in a ring. Also possible in a delicate pendant although not ideal for the owner to see the star without stiff neck.
