Comment: This is the classic color-change sapphire found in Sri Lanka, and Burma or Madagascar. As in all color change gems, the extreme color opposites are elusive and most light settings bring out mélanges of both hues, purple and blue, and here violet. Minute needles aside, hardly visible under the lens, the gem is clean and flawless. Mild pastel hues in both corners of the spectrum, a relative bright tone as far as typical CC sapphire go in Medium Dark 60 ('zero' being white, '100' being black). As the handshots show best, the daylight color is a flowery blue, in tungsten light the gem turns reddish purple. Free global shipping, original DSEF report with 'no heat' and 'color change', 1000sqm rainforest bought, and fought for, in your name plus all WildFish perks for a competitive $1k/ct (before any member-discounts). While not too deep, the traditional hand-cut has avoided a visible window but allowed a giant face-up close to 9x7mm. Unheated sapphire with pedigree origin, unheated, free of inclusions and color-change on top.
