Comment: This Alexandrite is obviously remarkable in size (above 1 ct is BIIIG in Alex) and clarity (nothing to see for the eye). Only under the lens (and on 36mag images) a veil of colorless bubbles becomes visible and vouches for its natural origins. The gem changes from ivy green at day into pinkish ochre at night. Rare pedigree with most alexandrites today coming from India or Brazil. With just over 5 carats a serious world-class gem. Beautiful especially in mixed light, with golden sparks in grass green. Lots of dense fire and internally always in motion, changing and transcending through light and time.
