Comment: Golden yellow garnet with a good show of hessonite swirls under the lens but also a pure grossular garnet of rarest size. Great luster and a stunning beauty in any light setting. Dripping with a rich flowery yellow gold (no green but very orangish). Melting more orange into the yellow at night. Very, very pretty and impressive in the true sense of the word. Seriously rare size grossular garnet in perfect condition. As good as it gets and even rarer than that.
P.S. Some gems are of such outstanding beauty and rarity that only an appropriate price protects them from immediate 'robbery' by gemstone connoisseurs. If I let go of such items at normal market rate, at $500/ct like I did with this 10.64, I stand to regret it till the day I meet my maker, or find a new one (a gem, or my maker, the latter more likely). If this here is exactly the gem you have been searching, and you must have it for your sanity, but none other is around within budget, ask me for a discount - I do understand the suffering of not being able to get the ONE gem you must have.
