Comment: Right-in-the-color green, with little yellow, if any, no grey, no brown. Brilliant sparkly gem with finest fresh green, never pale, never dark, durable in jewelry, untreated, no window and no inclusions (see the clean crystal in close-up under 'more images'). Such pure green is the rarest hue in zircon, though light toned reds are more expensive. Perfect handcut in classic oval. Best polish (very important in luster gems). Great ring gem for up to size 7. Zircon's remarkable double refraction is so high that you can see the facets doubling with the naked eye, adding to excellent luster. Zircon is one of the few gems in which you need not trade-off color with luster but can have both in one gem. Not to be confused with fake diamonds (absolutely no connection).
